The sim should be fine, ive had my sim years and its ok in any phone. I have the samsung galaxy ace a different model but settings should be roughly the same, although i can send and recieve picture messages without internet being on, maybe you could go into settings, then wireless and networks, then mobile network and make sure use packet data is ticked. Other than that i cant think of too much, have you set up your google account, so you can use android market etc, if you have then all should be ok, i can only suggest you call 02 again. I will say that my spare phone is on 02 and i do have problems with the network in lots of ways. Thats why i bought my samsung galaxy ace on pay as u go with 3network. Sorry i cant help you more but dont be afraid to keep calling 02 untill they solve your problem.

I have had trouble with flashplayer crashing .uninstalled and then re.installed.might help new update doesnt seem to work very well.alot of people are having trouble i googled it and went to site.
